Sopami Car Care
Spray-on gloss and water repellency, finished in one pass
A Sopami coating spray goes onto a cool panel, spreads into a thin film under one microfiber towel and buffs off with a second. What stays behind is slick and hydrophobic, so rain beads instead of sheeting and light dust lifts more easily next time. Three products cover the range. The car coating spray handles maintenance between washes. The ceramic paint sealant leans harder on gloss and water behavior. The headlight kit deals with lenses that have gone yellow.
Sopami Coating Sprays, Sealants and the Headlight Kit

Sopami Car Coating Spray
The black bottle labeled Porcelain Plating Agent. Spray a cool panel, spread the liquid thin with one microfiber, buff it clear with a second. Each bottle holds 500 ml, near 16.9 fl oz. Water stops sheeting across the paint and starts beading, and light dust comes off in the same pass.

Sopami Ceramic Paint Sealant
Sold as the Quick Effect Coating Agent, and pointed at the finish rather than the cleaning. Slickness, depth in the reflection, rain that clears the panel fast. Same 500 ml bottle, same spray-and-buff routine. Hoods, roofs and trunk lids gain the most, because those are the panels rain sits on.

Sopami Headlight Restoration Kit
For lenses that have gone yellow or chalky on the outside. The box holds a 180 ml restoration spray, a 10 ml protective agent, a foam sponge and a cloth, and nothing has to come off the car. It treats the outer face of an intact lens. A crack or water trapped behind the glass is a different repair.

Paint sealant, two bottles

Paint sealant, three bottles
One bottle suits a single car treated now and then. Two and three-bottle packs make sense across a driveway of vehicles or for anyone renewing the layer often. Check the stated volume as well as the count, since the two do not always move together.
Which Sopami Product Fits the Problem
Sopami Car Coating Spray
Reach for this when the car is clean but flat-looking, or lightly dusty and you would rather not drag out a hose.
- Dust, fingerprints, light road film and the odd bug splatter
- Gloss and beading on paint, glass, wheels and hard trim
- One 500 ml bottle covers a compact car several times over
- Grit has to be rinsed off first or the towel scratches
Sopami Ceramic Paint Sealant
This is the one for after a wash, when the point is a slick surface and rain that leaves the panel on its own.
- Hoods, roofs and trunk lids that live under rain and pollen
- The most gloss in the range on paint already in good shape
- Renewable: clean the panel, lay a fresh coat, done
- No impact protection. A stone chip still chips the paint
Sopami Headlight Restoration Kit
Use this when the lenses have gone yellow and the beam looks weaker at night than it used to.
- Chalky, hazy or yellowed polycarbonate on an intact lens
- Restoration liquid first, then the protective coating
- No disassembly, no sanding discs, no drill attachment
- Condensation behind the lens points at a failed seal
Buying by problem beats buying by the word ceramic on the label. Both sprays sit in the same maintenance category, neither one replaces paint correction, and the headlight kit solves something the other two never touch.
Four Things to Know Before the First Bottle
Hydrophobic is not waterproof
Water pulls into tight beads on a treated panel and leaves sooner, so less of it stays behind to dry. Whatever does dry in place still leaves its minerals, which is why water spots survive a coating. Drying the car after a wash matters just as much as it did before.
Thin coat, clean towel
Spread the liquid into a film you can barely see, then buff it with a second dry microfiber. Flooding the panel wastes product and leaves smears that take a longer buff to clear. Fold to a fresh face of the cloth as soon as the one you are using goes damp.
It protects, it does not correct
A coating preserves whatever sits under it. Light swirls can read as softer because the surface throws back more light, but the scratch has not gone anywhere. If a fingernail catches in the groove, no spray is going to fill it. That one needs polishing or paint.
Prep decides the result
The finish you end up with is the finish you started with, plus gloss. The new layer sits on top of bonded contamination and old oxidation rather than lifting either one off. On a car that has gone a year without attention, a proper wash changes the outcome more than the coating does.
What to Use for Which Job
| The job | What to use | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Dusty garage car before a drive | Coating spray, panel by panel | Safe only if the dust wipes away with no grit under the towel |
| Fresh gloss after a wash | Paint sealant on dry paint | Work in shade. Sun dries the liquid before you can spread it |
| Rain that sits on the hood | Paint sealant on horizontal panels | Protection fades first on hoods, roofs and trunk lids |
| Bug splatter across the bumper | Coating spray, given a moment to soften | Let it loosen the residue instead of scrubbing at it dry |
| Water spots after a wash | Wash and dry first, coat second | Minerals sit on top of a coating and need removing, not covering |
| Yellow, chalky headlights | Headlight restoration kit | Treat the whole weathered lens, not only the worst corner |
| Wheels and exterior glass | Either spray, used sparingly | Buff glass until it is clear. Residue shows up in oncoming headlights |
| Mud after a trail run | A hose and a bucket wash, first | No wipe-on product makes sand safe to drag across paint |
- Grit you can feel with a fingertip is grit that will scratch. That holds for every waterless product on the market, not only this one.
- Drying and curing instructions differ between Sopami formulas and package versions. Read the sheet in the box before the car meets rain, a wash or another chemical.
- Keep all of it off brake rotors, brake pads, pedals, tire tread and motorcycle controls. Slick is the wrong property in those places.
Coating Spray and Paint Sealant Side by Side
Sopami Car Coating Spray

- Pack sizes
- 1, 2 or 3 bottles
- Applied with

This is the bottle for the weeks between washes. The liquid gives a microfiber enough lubrication to lift dust and light road film without dragging, and what stays behind is slick and water-repellent. On a car that has already been washed it works purely as a finishing coat.
Sopami Ceramic Paint Sealant
Gloss and water repellency
- Bottle
- 500 ml / 16.9 fl oz
- Pack sizes
- 1, 2 or 3 bottles
- Applied with
- Microfiber towel or applicator
- Surfaces
- Paint, glass, wheels, hard trim
- Strongest on
- Hoods, roofs, trunk lids
- Renew when
- Beading and slickness fall off
- Will not
- Stop rock chips or key marks
Same routine, more weight on the layer itself. On paint that is already smooth the gain shows up as depth in the reflection and as rain clearing the panel instead of sitting on it. The layer is sacrificial by design, so it wears down and gets replaced rather than lasting forever.
- A Sopami listing carries two separate numbers: pack count and bottle volume. A three-pack is not automatically three full-size bottles, so read both before ordering.
- Test any unfamiliar surface on a small hidden patch first. Nothing about matte paint, a satin wrap or an unusual wheel finish behaves like ordinary glossy clear coat.
- Durability on any spray coating is conditional. Winter road salt cuts the life of the layer short, and so does washing the car every week.
Sopami Reviews and Owner Photos
This product dose what it supposed to do.it shine my truck like new.i would buy it again. Awesome product.

I purchased a used vehicle over the winter and once the snow and ice melted and I could spend more time on car care, I noted that while the vehicle looked well cared for in its' previous life, the paint lacked that 'pop' that makes it stand out. If there is a better or more simple product that makes a vehicles paint really get that new look, I have never found it. This could not get much simpler. With two micro fiber cloths and a spray bottle of SOPAMI Ceramic Paint Sealant Spray, I can spray the vehicle, use the cloth in my left hand to distribute the material and make sure I am covering all of the areas that need attention. Then, after I am satisfied I have covered everything as necessary, I can use the cloth in my right hand to wipe away the spray and bring my paint to a nice luster and it happens in minutes, not hours. The shine is amazing, streak free and will shed water so fast I don't think the car had time to get wet. It also sheds rain quickly and amazingly, no water spots. Two bottles, more than enough to do my both my cars several times and I cannot speak highly enough of the shine and the overall quality of how well this works. A word of note: Simply spraying this on and giving a quick wipe is not going to make your car look amazingly new or have a showroom quality. You have to put in a little effort to get those results. It's not like paste waxing your vehicle, but it isn't some miracle in a spray bottle either.

this stuff, works, I take pride in my cars, and I love for them to look perfect like brand new and I'll be , a dog, if this stuff doesn't do just that 😂🤣. after washing my car and drying it, I get to work with the sopami nono and watch a miracle happen, love this stuff, my black car looks like a mirror, and my charcoal gray car looks like glass. Don't be afraid to buy it and try it. You will be shocked and surprised. I'm often next. What year is your car? It looks new that has to be spots I want when people see my car 👌

For the price I have to say it works very well! Not a "miracle" product by any means but works great a car that has been taken care of. I have tried Torque Detail Ceramic Spray which is much better than this product but more expensive. I also suggest Nexgen Ceramic Spray Silicon Dioxide Ceramic Coating Spray which is better than the Torque ceramic spray but also much more expensive. For price and value this is the best quality you will get for the cheapest price. Something with a severe dull finish it's not going to make it brand new again. It's best for a car that is being washed and detailed regularly.

I have 2 custom motorcycles I'm trying to let go to sell them. I'm 79 now, too heavy too lift up. The lord blessed me ,he never let me drop them. This product has been just like they promised. It will help the sale. Give it a try.

Easy to use great quality and the headlights were clean when the process was done

Applying Sopami and Knowing When to Redo It
- 1
Start with a surface that has no grit on it
Run a fingertip across the paint. If it feels sandy, the car needs water before it needs a coating. Rinse off mud, road salt and trail dust first, because a microfiber towel turns loose grit into a set of fine scratches.
- 2
Work cool and out of direct sun
A hot hood dries the liquid before you can spread it evenly, and that costs you a second pass to clear the streaks. Early morning solves it. So does a shaded driveway, or an open garage door.
- 3
One panel at a time
Shake the bottle, spray a moderate amount onto the section in front of you, then spread it into a thin even film with a clean microfiber. Doing half the car at once means the far end is drying while you are still working the near end.
- 4
Buff with a second, dry towel
Turn to a fresh face of the cloth as it loads up. A finished panel feels slick under the hand and shows no oily smears when you crouch and look down the reflection at a low angle.
- 5
Go lighter on glass
Less product, more buffing. Residue on a windshield or a mirror is invisible in daylight and turns into glare the first time an oncoming car puts its headlights on you.
- 6
Reapply by how the water behaves, not by the calendar
Wash the car, then watch the rinse. Fresh protection throws water into tight beads that run straight off. Once those beads flatten and the paint stops feeling slick after a proper wash, the layer has done its work and can be renewed.
Contamination still needs removing on schedule. Anything acidic starts etching what sits under it after a couple of days, bird droppings and tree sap included. The coating is the layer you would rather lose there, not the clear coat.
Headlights follow the same discipline twice over: clean and dry the lens, apply the restoration liquid across the whole weathered area, then wipe the coating on in one direction with the sponge and leave it alone to dry.
Automatic brush washes undo the work faster than anything else on this list. A brush that has scrubbed forty cars ahead of yours is still carrying their grit.
About Sopami
Sopami makes exterior car care for people who look after their own vehicles at home. The range covers spray-on paint protection, water-repellent ceramic sealants, light surface cleaning and headlight restoration. None of it needs a polisher, a curing tent or a professional bay.
The logic behind the coating sprays is that a car does not need a full correction every time it gets dusty. Once in a while it earns the whole routine: wash, decontaminate, polish, seal, cure. For the weeks in between, a spray that cleans lightly and leaves a hydrophobic layer covers the actual job in about the time it takes to drink a coffee.
The headlight kit answers a different problem. Modern headlamp covers are polycarbonate, and the factory layer that shields them from ultraviolet light wears through after enough sun, weather and washing. The plastic underneath turns yellow and hazy, light scatters instead of passing cleanly through, and the car starts looking older than it is. The kit treats that outer surface and finishes with a protective coat.
What these products cannot do is worth stating plainly. A ceramic spray does not repair deep scratches, rock chips, dents or damaged clear coat. Headlight restoration does not mend a cracked lens or dry out a housing that has been letting water in. Matching the product to the real condition of the car is most of what separates a good result from a disappointing one.
Sopami FAQ
Sopami is an automotive care brand built around exterior cleaning, surface protection, gloss and headlight restoration. The range covers ceramic coating sprays, hydrophobic paint sealants, waterless maintenance products and treatments for oxidized or yellowed headlight lenses.
It leaves a thin protective layer over compatible exterior surfaces that raises gloss, adds slickness and makes water bead more readily. The same layer weakens how firmly light dirt and road film hold onto the surface, which makes the next wash less work. It is a maintenance product. It does not stand in for paint correction or for physical paint protection.
No. Sopami spray coatings are built for fast application at home with a spray-and-buff process. A professional ceramic coating normally demands extensive paint preparation followed by a controlled application and cure. The spray is far easier to apply and to renew. It will not match a professionally installed coating for durability or chemical resistance.
Sopami coating products come in 1-pack, 2-pack and 3-pack configurations. Full-size bottles usually run around 16.9 to 17.6 fl oz each, though bottle capacity can differ between individual products and multi-pack versions. Check the bottle volume and the pack count separately before ordering, especially when two Sopami coating listings look alike.
Start with a cool surface that is free of heavy dirt and grit. Spray a moderate amount onto the section being treated, spread it evenly with a clean microfiber towel or applicator, then buff the remaining residue away with a fresh microfiber face. Work panel by panel instead of spraying the whole car at once. Thin, even coverage beats soaking the paint every time.
For light maintenance cleaning, yes. Dust, fingerprints, thin road film and similar minor contamination all come off safely. Do not wipe it across paint covered in mud, sand, road salt or gritty dirt. Those particles need rinsing or washing away first, because dragging abrasive contamination over paint under a towel creates scratches.
Depending on the formula, Sopami coating sprays suit compatible painted surfaces, exterior glass, wheels, plastic trim and other hard exterior surfaces. Owners use them on cars, motorcycles, RVs, ATVs and boats. Test unfamiliar materials first. Keep the product off brake components, tire tread, pedals, motorcycle controls and anywhere else added slickness would affect safety.
It does not repair deep scratches, chips or damaged clear coat. Extra gloss can make very light surface imperfections harder to notice, but the damage underneath is unchanged. A scratch that needs real correction has to go through polishing or paint repair before any protective coating goes on top of it.
A hydrophobic surface repels water more strongly than untreated paint. Droplets pull into tight beads and travel across the panel instead of spreading into a flat sheet. That makes a car quicker to dry and easier to maintain, and it does not prevent every water spot. Minerals stay behind whenever a droplet dries in place, so washing and drying properly still matter.
Durability depends on the product, the quality of the application, where the car is kept, the climate, how often it is washed, which detergents touch it and how much road contamination it collects. Several months is realistic under suitable conditions. The most useful signal is the condition of a clean surface. When water repellency, slickness or gloss noticeably drop off after a wash, the layer is ready to be renewed.
It can go on as a maintenance layer over compatible protected paint. The cleanest bond comes from a surface free of dirt, oils and heavy product residue. Whatever is already on the paint influences how the new layer behaves. If maximum durability is the goal, prepare the surface according to the instructions supplied with the exact Sopami product.
It is made for exterior headlight lenses that have turned cloudy, yellow, hazy or chalky through age and weather exposure. It treats deterioration on the outside of an otherwise intact lens. It cannot repair a cracked housing, internal moisture, damaged reflectors, wiring faults or haze sitting on the inner face of the lens.
Clean and dry the headlight first. Apply the restoration fluid across the affected exterior lens following the supplied instructions. The headlight coating then goes onto the coating sponge and gets wiped evenly across the restored surface before drying naturally. Leave the freshly coated lens alone until it has dried as directed. No touching, no washing.
No. Sopami ceramic coating products also go on compatible exterior surfaces of motorcycles, RVs, boats, ATVs and other vehicles. Apply according to the material in front of you. On motorcycles and off-road machines in particular, keep coating products away from tires, brake components, foot controls, seats and anywhere reduced friction would be a problem.
Practical exterior maintenance rather than mechanical repair. The products handle jobs that come around again and again: restoring gloss after a wash, building hydrophobic protection, lifting light surface contamination and refreshing weathered headlight lenses. Everything in the range applies without professional detailing equipment, in single bottles or in 2- and 3-packs for repeat use and multiple vehicles.
Match the Bottle to the Car in Front of You
Dusty between washes and you want it sharp before a drive: that is the coating spray. After a wash, when the goal is depth in the reflection and rain that runs straight off, reach for the paint sealant. Yellow lenses at night mean the headlight kit. Pack size follows from how many cars sit in the driveway.
